ITEM #38A
TINY CHILD'S LEATHER GLOVES
(mid–19th century)

: $125 :
Description: A pair of tiny, tiny, tan leather gloves. These are only four inches long and are the tiniest gloves I have seen. Very fine thin leather, all hand sewn. Closure at wrist with a small brass stud with the letter "B" embossed on it that 'catches' on one of two tiny brass balls on other side of wrist opening. There is a small linen square sewn under the brass closures for strength.

Condition: Some light soiling and scratches from use. Otherwise in very good condition.

ITEM #39A
LADY'S FINGERLESS MITTS
(mid–19th century)

: $150 :
Description: A pair of black hand–knotted silk–thread fingerless mitts or gloves with tassels. A flower design has been sewn onto the backs of each hand.

Condition: There are a few broken threads scattered about, which are minor and visible in the photos, but for the most part they are amazingly intact and in very good condition.

ITEM #24A
EARLY FOLDING PARASOL
(early 19th c.)

: SOLD :
Description: A folding parasol with a dark stained cane stem and handle with a one inch long ivory tip at the bottom. At the top is a 2½" long carved ivory finial. The japanned brass sleeve that slides over the stem's hinge has impressed designs. The 14" long ribs are of whalebone (baleen) and are tipped in ivory. The silk–mixture fabric is black with large woven–in design in white silk threads. Measures 32½" long overall, and is 22" across when open.

Condition: The fabric has several splits in it, otherwise this very early parasol is in good condition.
